Celebrate Coast to Coast at Rattle N Hum, January 15

Posted in Beer Events on January 13th, 2013 by RattleNHum

Coast to Coast Toast 2 is a celebration of 30+ years of great beers being imported from Europe to the US by our friends at Vanberg & DeWulf. It is also an appreciation of the “great state of craft and specialty beer culture in the US, and the “largest one-day celebration of Belgian beer culture in the United States in this millennium.”

Coast to Coast was celebrated in countries around the world and states around the US in mid-November.

The many great beer bars in NYC had to re-schedule the event, due to an unwanted guest named Sandy. Thus, craft beer bars all around NYC will be celebrating coast to coast this Tuesday, January 15.

At Rattle N Hum, the best bar in NYC, we’ll be pouring these lines:

  • Scaldis Noel 20L
  • Dilewyns Vicarus Xmas
  • Castelain Diversey and Lillet
  • Dilewyns Triple Geuze
  • Scaldis Peche Mel
  • DuPont Brune

As with all beer events, we’ll be pouring these beers for as long as they last, which often extends beyond the beer event and even till the end of the week.

Rattle N Hum hosts events such as this nearly every Tuesday night, and sometimes on other nights as well – one of many reasons that Rattle N Hum is among the best bars in NYC.

Did you know Rattle N Hum has an outstanding lunch menu, with $10 specials every day?

Make sure to visit our friends at Beer Authority, one of the best bar in Times Square. Beer Authority will have the same line-up of beers for Coast to Coast.

Stevens Point Beer Event October 9

Posted in Beer Events on October 7th, 2012 by RattleNHum

Many of the brewery events we host featured breweries that are between 5-15 years old; most started as a home-brewing operation and only in the past few years began selling their beer more widely.

Our beer event on Tuesday, October 9 features a lineup of beers from Stevens Point Brewery, whose tag line is “Brewing Excellence Since 1857,” and which claims to be the 5th oldest continuously operating brewery in the United States. It is still independently and locally owned, and “uses only the highest-grade barley malts, specialty malts, grains and the choicest hops to brew their handcrafted beers.” We helped Stevens Point make its initial launch in NYC at a similar event two years ago, and it was enthusiastically received by our discerning customers.

We’ll be offering at least 8 of Stevens Point’s brews:

  • Black Ale
  • Pale Ale
  • Belgian White
  • Special lager
  • Octoberfest
  • St. Benedict’s
  • Russian Imperial stout
  • Barley wine

All will be available from 4:00 pm on. Some may run out during the event, others may be available all week, so if you’re eager to try Stevens Point brews but can’t make the event, be sure to stop by later in the week.

Rattle N Hum hosts event such as this one every week. They make for excellent group outings, from team-building to mini-reunions, and make us one of the best bars for bachelor parties in NYC.

Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. and Perennial Artisan Ales Event Sept 4

Posted in Beer Events on August 29th, 2012 by RattleNHum
On Tuesday, September 4, we’ll kick-off the new season with a doubleheader, giving prominence on our taps to two breweries from the great state of Michigan
The first is Kuhnhenn Brewing Company of Warren, MI, which brews “Beer With Distinct Personality.” We’ll have 11+ lines from Kuhnhenn:
Play in the Hay Guava
Aldebaran
Double Rice IPA
Export Stout
Hefeweizen
Loonie Kuhnie
White Devil
Tina’s Honey
Michigan Guild Anniversary
American IPA
Cask- Fluffer
Also joining us that night is Perennial Artisan Ales, whose brews “are influenced mostly by Belgian and American craft styles, but the addition of premium ingredients such as fruits, spices or wild yeast strains sometimes causes the beers to defy traditional categories.” While we’re still creating the list of Perennial Beers to be poured, we expect the brewmaster to be here to discuss them and Perennial’s philosophy of brewing.
All beers will be available from 4:00 pm on. Some may run out during the event, others may be available all week, so if you can’t make the event, be sure to stop by later in the week.
