Best beer bar in NYC
When we opened our doors a few years ago, our aspirations were humble.
Rattle N Hum was the first foray into Manhattan for our Irish immigrant owners. We’ve heard the songs a thousand times: if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. We hoped to create a place that customers would find, enjoy, and return to often, and enable us to keep opening our doors each day.
However, reading through the collection of reviews of beer bars in NYC, it seems our humble ambitions have been eclipsed. We’re king of the hill, top of the heap.
Of course, these words would not mean much if they only came from us. But no less authority than Shecky’s Nightlife rates Rattle N Hum as the best beer bar in NYC. It writes, “In a mere two years, Rattle n Hum has become Manhattan’s best craft beer bar, bar none.” Shecky’s goes on to say, “Rattle lives by a staunch “no crap on tap” ethos (it’s even written on their wall—nearby a brewmasters wall of fame no less!) and there’s always something interesting to drink. Luckily, they offer four-beer flights so you can try it all!”
CBS agrees emphatically, putting Rattle N Hum atop its list of the four best craft beer bars in NYC. CBS sums it up by saying, “The menu offers suggestions for those unfamiliar with craft beer, and a constant rotation of brewery tastings and events are a hit with the beer-loving community.”

We truly appreciate that the media recognizes our love of craft beer and our devotion to scheduling a range of exciting tastings and events – but it isn’t all about the critics.
