Wear Your Ranger Gear on Thursday!

Posted in Uncategorized on April 24th, 2012 by RattleNHum

This Thursday, April 26, the NY Rangers will be playing Game 7 of their first-round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators.

After the Rangers had their second-best season ever and scored the most points in the Eastern Conference, they were supposed to have an easy ride deep into the playoffs. But in the major sports leagues over the past several years, it has never been easy for any of the higher seeded teams in the playoffs, as low-seeded underdogs have taken the majority of rings, cups, belts and trophies awarded to the champion.

It’s no different in the NHL playoffs thus far; #1 seed Vancouver has gone home, as has the Pittsburgh Penguins, who many picked to win it all. The defending champion Boston Bruins play a Game 7 tomorrow night, and our beloved NY Rangers play one on Thursday night.

The Rangers have the home-ice advantage, their young star Chris Kreider just scored his first NHL goal and is looking for more, and the Rangers have history on their side.

Now all they need is you. They need scores of fans to show up at Rattle N Hum and cheer them on, proudly wearing their team colors. So put on your best jersey, t-shirt or hat and come on by! Not only will you be seeing the best hockey team on the planet take another step on its path to destiny, but you’ll also enjoy the best craft beer on the planet.

Come on out to one of the best bars near Madison Square Garden and show your love for The New York Rangers!

NYC Beer Bar for Bachelor Parties

Posted in Just for fun on April 13th, 2012 by RattleNHum

When it comes to bachelor parties, Hollywood and other kings of pop culture would have us believe they’re all about one thing. But in fact, with couples getting married later in life, the modern bachelor party has become more subdued and less salacious.

Men have come to realize that male bonding can occur even when everyone leaves their clothes on and actually remembers what happened. Indeed, the craft beer movement has gained momentum because of a growing belief that less is more; many beer drinkers don’t drink as much as they once did, so they want to enjoy each one more.

Rattle N Hum, named by Zagat’s as one of the top craft beer bars in NYC and by Shecky’s Nightlife as the best craft beer bar in NYC, “bar none,” welcomes bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, and indeed all other groups of people who want to get together and bond while enjoying a high quality craft beer experience.

We not only offer 40 taps of craft beer, a handful of cask ales and more than 100 type of beer in bottle, but we also offer a fresh take on classic pub fare, with items such as Baby Lamb Sliders, Celtic Cubano and Rattle N Hummus, all of which we suggest beer pairings for.

If Rattle N Hum is just the first part of your group experience, there is so much else to do in the near vicinity, from MSG to comedy clubs to pretty much any other type of entertainment, and we’re also conveniently located near all major subway lines.

If a Tuesday night is an option, consider one of our the many beer events that we host nearly every Tuesday (though with a few on weekends), or else consider our Monday night jazz events, or even our “Kick the Keg” Sundays, where we not only offer an outstanding brunch, but also $5 pints on select craft beers.

Call us at 212-481-1586 to discuss how we can make your group outing one that you actually remember, and talk about for a long, long time.
